About the Role

SEI’s Private Banking & Wealth Management business is seeking a Business Development Director to establish, build, and close new business sales opportunities, primarily focusing on the UK market. The role targets wealth managers including Private Banks, Advisers, and Private Client Investment Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize current relationships and develop new ones through prospecting, consultative sales, and closing new business.
  • Generate leads through research and networking, positioning SEI and its enterprise capabilities for wealth managers.
  • Research and prepare for prospect meetings, set execution strategies, and progress deals to close.
  • Attend industry events to gather market intelligence and provide insights.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Marketing, Solutions, PMO, Legal, Relationship Managers) to meet client needs and develop solutions.
  • Support the transition of new clients to relationship and client service teams.
  • Identify, assess, and control risks, understanding relevant policies and escalating incidents.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a new Business Development role with executive-level relationship management in financial services.
  • Understanding of the UK Wealth Management market (technology, operations, asset management) and a strong network.
  • Experience with procurement or decision-making processes within Wealth Managers.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions, deal with senior executives, and maintain high activity levels to meet sales targets.
  • Success in managing and closing high-value outsourcing arrangements in wealth management technology, operations, or asset management.
  • Experience with cold calling, networking, and prospecting within a consultative sales process.
