About the Role

Salesforce is seeking a driven individual to manage sales territories in the Tokyo metropolitan area, focusing on mid-to-large enterprises (300-2000 employees). This role involves developing sales strategies, proposing solutions to new clients, and driving upsell/cross-sell opportunities with existing customers, primarily engaging with business leaders like CEOs and executives. The position emphasizes a consultative approach to address client business challenges and future aspirations, allowing for a focus on strategic proposals rather than administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies for assigned territories.
  • Propose solutions to new clients.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing, inside sales, channel sales, and partners to expand new customer acquisition and deepen existing customer relationships.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor, providing essential value by understanding and addressing customer challenges and future goals.
  • Focus on proposal activities that contribute to customer success, minimizing time spent on product shipment or delivery.
  • Gain proposal and negotiation skills by directly presenting to C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Accumulate closing experience through relatively short sales cycles from opportunity to contract.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate sales experience in the IT industry.
  • Proven ability to establish and implement self-driven sales strategies, including opportunity discovery, prioritization, and sales process management, to achieve targets.
  • Sales experience with individual financial targets.
  • Experience in problem-solving and solution-oriented proposals.
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications centered on BPM, including CRM, ERP, BI, SCM, and PLM.
  • Proactive utilization of new technologies and tools such as smartphones, tablets, business applications, and social media.
