About the Role
This is a hands-on HR & Talent Administrator role ideal for someone at the start of their career looking to gain broad, practical experience in HR and Talent. You will support the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to HR operations, gaining a comprehensive understanding of a People team's functions. The role involves working closely with the HR & Talent team on projects, audits, and process improvements, with opportunities for growth and increased responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Support the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, leavers, and contract changes.
- Assist with recruitment activities such as posting vacancies, reviewing applications, conducting introductory calls, coordinating interviews, and updating candidates.
- Ensure HR systems and employee data are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
- Manage and follow up on DBS and pre-employment checks.
- Support probation processes, ensuring timely reviews and follow-up on outcomes.
- Provide employment references and support other employee documentation.
- Assist with HR reporting and audits to provide insights for data-driven people decisions.
- Support the coordination of training and development activities, including courses, conferences, and budgets.
- Participate in HR & Talent projects and process improvements, contributing own ideas.
- Provide general support to the wider HR team and contribute where value can be added.
Requirements
- Previous HR, Talent, or administrative experience is a bonus, but not essential.
- People-focused with a genuine interest in helping hire, develop, and retain talent.
- Curious and eager to learn, excited by the opportunity to build broad HR and Talent knowledge.
- Articulate and engaging with confident communication skills.
- Proactive with a willingness to take ownership and go the extra mile.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
