About the Role

We are looking for an organised, analytical and customer-focused professional to join our Education Access Service. This role supports children, families, and schools by coordinating work across London and ensuring pupil benefits are delivered effectively. The position is initially for six months to cover maternity leave, with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the operational delivery of the Pan London admissions data exchange, working collaboratively with local authorities and key partners.
  • Process and maintain accurate pupil admissions, appeals and Free School Meal data in line with statutory guidance and local procedures within statutory deadlines.
  • Provide advice and support to schools, parents and colleagues on admissions, eAdmissions and the Pan London Register.
  • Assess Free School Meal eligibility, including complex applications, in line with Department for Education and Department for Work and Pensions guidance.
  • Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies and ensure the integrity of education records across council systems.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with complex data and administrative processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data management systems.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience within school admissions, education services, local government, or a similar statutory environment is advantageous.
  • Must remove all personal information from uploaded documents for anonymised recruitment.
