About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst works within the Insights, Data Engineering & Analytics organization to meet the bank's data pipeline strategies and objectives. This role guides and leads end-to-end processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure accurate and efficient data delivery for tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle analysis, including requirements definition, activity mapping, and solution design.
Participate in the design, development, and deployment of data products from ideation to launch.
Manage governance, intake, and prioritization processes.
Partner with IT and business units to seamlessly integrate data products into existing systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal controls.
Collaborate with teams across Business, Finance, and Risk to gather, prioritize, and document requirements for data products.
Ensure solutions address a wide variety of use cases including financial forecasting, risk modeling, regulatory reporting, or operational optimization.
Lead data analysis via data discovery, exploration, investigation, and impact assessments.
Apply best practices and illustrate understanding via data flows of systems and processes.
Conduct and lead data profiling and data preparation by identifying gaps and qualifying data.
Validate data by verifying against requirements and success criteria.
Confirm understanding of requirements by modeling data with Entity Relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
Lead understanding by researching business processes and documenting inconsistent and incomplete data, value misinterpretations, and misclassified data.
Lead development/quality measurement, benchmarking and goal setting, performance measurement analysis.
Identify the appropriate data sources and map the data from source to target.
Create and manage the catalog and metadata of data-related objects.
Guide integration across data sources and targets.
Actively mentor other colleagues by contributing experience and insight to the team.
Manage large programs & projects of significant complexity and risk.
Independently develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships, including at the senior leadership level and with external partners, providing guidance for optimizing the use of analytic capabilities and deliverables, and prioritization based on strategic vision.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
6+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or analytics in the banking industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple data product initiatives and drive deliverables in complex, cross-functional environments.
Experience with data product development, advanced analytics, or AI/ML in enterprise settings, with a strong understanding of data systems.
Skilled at translating technical data concepts into business outcomes.
Ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions, aligning data products to solve specific problems for Finance, Risk, and other teams.
Strong focus on building actionable, scalable data products with a user-centric approach.
Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and analytics tools preferred.
Strong data product and analytics mindset.
Snowflake experience preferred.
