About the Role
Delaware North Gaming is seeking a part-time Security Guard at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. This role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, adhering to NY Gaming Commission standards.
Responsibilities
- Enforce rules and regulations of the local gaming commission.
- Adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Report any incidents, following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and report any procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Fill out departmental log forms, verifying all paperwork is complete and turned in at the conclusion of shifts.
- Process guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and communicate with guests sensitively and with care.
Requirements
- Able to be licensed by state gaming commission.
- Highly motivated and takes initiative.
- Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, and pushing, with strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Visual awareness, sufficient to identify potential security violations.
- Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms and two-way radios.
- Exposure to all weather conditions.
