About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Meet, greet, and orient patients to the floor.
  • Answer patient and/or family member questions or redirect them to the appropriate care team member.
  • Transcribe orders and prepare patient charts upon admission.
  • Maintain patient charts appropriately and dismantle them upon discharge.
  • Prepare diet and census sheets and rewrite medex' once a week.
  • Prepare venipuncture lists and assist in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed.
  • Perform patient and specimen transport duties.
  • Assist the care team with the discharge process.
  • Answer telephones professionally and distribute mail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a doctor's office or health care facility.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in word processing.
