About the Role
Ascendis Pharma is seeking an International Marketing Director, Hypoparathyroidism to play a crucial role in positioning, launching, and ensuring the accessibility of Yorvipath in target international markets. This role requires a deep understanding of the market landscape, proven experience in developing international marketing plans, driving brand strategy, and enhancing customer engagement. The ideal candidate will be a motivational leader with strong influencing and team player skills, capable of operating in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive hypoparathyroidism marketing strategy, bridging global marketing and local partner execution.
- Collate partner feedback and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and patient needs to inform strategy.
- Drive brand positioning and value proposition for Yorvipath across international markets.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels.
- Work closely with global marketing, R&D, regulatory, international digital, market access & medical affairs colleagues to align marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with regional partner teams to tailor strategies for local market needs.
- Support and implement go-to-market strategies to optimize product access and reimbursement.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to enhance market presence.
- Design and oversee initiatives to educate healthcare professionals and stakeholders on growth disorder management and treatment options.
- Facilitate patient-centric marketing strategies to increase awareness and support for rare diseases.
- Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Conduct regular market research and analyze data to optimize marketing efforts.
- Lead and manage multiple core marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare progress reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, and/or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in international strategic and executional marketing with partners in the life sciences industry.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Proven experience in endocrinology, rare diseases and/or specialty pharmaceuticals is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with international regulatory submissions and interactions with health authorities.
