- Lead procurement governance and approval activities, including submissions to the Procurement Steering Committee, procurement reviews, tender recommendations, investment approvals, and executive reporting.
- Produce high-quality, evidence-based approval papers and award recommendations suitable for executive and audit scrutiny.

- Ensure compliance with VIRTUS procurement policy, Delegation of Authority, and internal governance standards, maintaining clear audit trails.
- Develop category, supplier, and supply chain strategies across key CapEx spend areas to enhance capability, resilience, capacity, and competitive tension.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with contractor and supplier leadership to drive performance improvement, collaboration, and long-term value.
- Establish and govern framework agreements, preferred supplier programmes, and strategic sourcing partnerships to support standardization, scalability, and future capacity needs.
- Drive measurable cost avoidance, value engineering, and commercial improvement across the CapEx portfolio.
- Direct external procurement consultants, commercial advisors, and specialist resources, setting clear deliverables, standards, reporting cadences, and escalation routes.
- Constructively challenge consultant recommendations and hold external partners accountable for delivery performance and value for money.
