About the Role
UK Safety Management is seeking a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to service and inspect fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, perform minor repairs, and ensure system compliance and functionality across various client sites.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839.
- Servicing and inspections of emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266-1.
- Performing minor installation and remedial works, including adding devices and replacing panels.
- Safely and correctly replacing emergency lighting fittings.
- Conducting fault-finding and non-critical repairs.
- Accurately recording inspection and testing results.
- Completing reports and certification.
- Clearly communicating faults, issues, and recommendations to customers.
Requirements
- Comfortable driving and travelling between different client sites.
- Happy working independently across a variety of client sites.
- Technically minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Confident carrying out servicing, testing and fault-finding.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Confident communicating with customers.
- Comfortable working across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
- Organised and accurate when completing reports and certification.
- Keen to develop their skills within the fire and electrical safety industry.
