About the Role

UK Safety Management is seeking a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to service and inspect fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, perform minor repairs, and ensure system compliance and functionality across various client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing and inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839.
  • Servicing and inspections of emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266-1.
  • Performing minor installation and remedial works, including adding devices and replacing panels.
  • Safely and correctly replacing emergency lighting fittings.
  • Conducting fault-finding and non-critical repairs.
  • Accurately recording inspection and testing results.
  • Completing reports and certification.
  • Clearly communicating faults, issues, and recommendations to customers.

Requirements

  • Comfortable driving and travelling between different client sites.
  • Happy working independently across a variety of client sites.
  • Technically minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Confident carrying out servicing, testing and fault-finding.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Confident communicating with customers.
  • Comfortable working across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
  • Organised and accurate when completing reports and certification.
  • Keen to develop their skills within the fire and electrical safety industry.
