About the Role
In our Commercial Engagement Services (CES) division, you will work closely with our clients, supporting them with flexible sales and staffing solutions for sustainable market success. This includes recruiting, training, and managing sales teams in service projects or temporary employment. We rely on integrated, customized project approaches from the entire IQVIA portfolio. For a nationwide team build-up in the field of vaccines, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison Manager (m/f/d) starting January 1, 2027.
Responsibilities
- You promote scientific exchange, professional dialogue, and collaboration with local physicians, hospital doctors, and other external stakeholders.
- You conduct scientific discussions, presentations, and convey data and professional lectures.
- You establish and maintain your network of external medical-scientific experts and opinion leaders.
- You provide medical information and answer complex medical and scientific questions and inquiries.
- You support internal teams with your medical-scientific expertise and conduct training sessions.
- You coordinate scientific further education activities and actively participate in events such as advisory boards, congresses, and medical training formats.
- You gather relevant information on current developments in the therapeutic area from your region.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences; PhD (PhD, Dr. rer. nat., Dr. med., Dr. pharm. or similar) desirable.
- Optional: Postdoctoral experience with a translational or clinical focus.
- Ability to structure and present complex scientific data in an audience-appropriate manner. Strong analytical thinking skills.
- Proficient in handling scientific literature and data interpretation.
- Digital Fluency: Confident use of digital tools, openness to new digital systems, high affinity for new technologies (e.g., AI-supported literature research, digital insight generation, etc.).
- Basic understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in the pharmaceutical environment.
- Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills: Clear, structured, and dialogue-oriented.
- Stakeholder orientation: Ability to build trusting scientific relationships and networks.
- Learning agility: Quick onboarding into new data, processes, and therapeutic areas.
- Independence: Self-organization in the field.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and ideally in the field of vaccines or infectiology.
- Strong interest in the interface between science and clinical application.
- High intrinsic motivation for evidence-based communication.
- High interest in cross-functional collaboration (Medical, Commercial, Market Access).
