About the Role

At EY-Parthenon, you will support CEOs, boards, and private equity firms in transaction-based transformations, from initial strategic thinking to successful implementation. You will work on groundbreaking projects across various industries, focusing on strategy realignment, optimization, transformative deals, and restructuring. Utilizing data-driven insights and AI technologies, you will explore new markets, drive growth, and develop corporate and capital strategies that make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

Advise national and international companies and investors on Technology Due Diligences (IT and Software) and technology-related issues throughout the entire deal lifecycle.
Analyze IT organization and operating models (including governance, sourcing strategies), application landscapes (ERP and non-ERP), IT infrastructure (hosting/cloud concepts, network, end-user computing), IT contracts & licenses, and IT finances (OPEX/CAPEX, benchmarking) to assess IT landscape performance and identify risks, value drivers, and transformation needs.
Analyze product and technology roadmaps, technology architecture and tech stack (modularity, technical debt), R&D organization and software development lifecycle (process maturity, automation, testing/QA), and hosting and cloud setup to evaluate scalability, technical maturity, and future viability of software.
Identify technological risks and opportunities for value enhancement, and support the development of data-driven recommendations for investors and management teams.
Assist in complex transaction situations such as acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and integrations, working closely with multidisciplinary deal teams.

Requirements

Completed university degree (above average) in business administration, business informatics, computer science, engineering, or a comparable field, with a strong interest in technology, transactions, and company valuation.
Initial practical experience in technology consulting, transaction consulting, due diligence, IT strategy, or a similar field (Consultant) or at least two years of relevant professional experience (Senior Consultant).
Ideally possess knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Technology or IT or Software Due Diligence, IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, IT Financial Management, Digital Transformation, Software & Platforms, or M&A.
Critically question facts and possess strong communication skills.
Very good German and English language skills (at least C1 level).
