About the Role

As a Financing Solutions Client Service Representative, you will serve as a key client contact for strategic Financing Solutions relationships, partnering closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service, drive client satisfaction, and support business growth. You will act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned agency lending, repo, and financing solutions clients, helping to strengthen relationships, improve program performance, and support retention and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries, troubleshoot problems, provide information, and ensure client satisfaction with service and products offered by Financing Solutions.
  • Manage internal risk and compliance matters pertaining to assigned client relationships, as well as coordinating any required client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, program performance, and revenue trends; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and service improvements, escalating issues appropriately and driving timely resolution.
  • Lead client communications, performance reviews, and business update meetings.
  • Prepare and present benchmarking analysis, market insights, and program performance updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular client meetings and industry discussions, demonstrating knowledge of securities lending, repo, and capital markets trends impacting client portfolios.
  • Collaborate across the regional Client Service organization to support global and APAC client relationships, provide coverage across markets, and contribute to regional initiatives and best practices.
  • Partner with Financing Solutions Relationship Managers to support top strategic program relationships.
  • Support strategic client onboarding, platform migrations, product enhancements, and regulatory initiatives through effective project coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Services and other State Street division partners for joint clients; address any operational issues and/or identify potential cross-selling opportunities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret client performance, market trends, and business data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across global teams and navigate complex organizations to achieve client objectives.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and sound judgment in managing client issues, risks, and escalations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and client outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-8 years of experience in securities lending, repo, custody, capital markets, client service, relationship management, or related financial services functions.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, custody banking, and preferably the securities lending industry.
  • Understanding of securities financing products including agency lending, repo, and collateral management preferred.
  • Experience working with Japanese institutional investors, including asset managers, insurance companies, banks, and pension funds preferred.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize and prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred); experience using Bloomberg or other market data platforms is a plus.
