About the Role
Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, as part of a team powering a stronger economic future. You will be instrumental in running critical market infrastructure, with a significant focus on technology and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure CI/CD design and engineering processes adhere to existing engineering standards, have well-defined process controls, and deliver a compliance reporting model.
- Collaborate with engineers to streamline environment management by implementing automation capabilities such as CI/CD.
- Assist in implementing accelerated delivery, including the uplift and service management of CI/CD tools, writing standardized configuration management scripts, and automating environment provisioning workflows.
- Become an SME of toolsets and processes used across the SDLC, including source code management, development tools, and engineering practices, to improve agility, quality, and process maturity.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Infrastructure teams to drive automation in the setup, configuration, and operation of environments across the technology stack.
- Collaborate with test automation and release management to embed best practices into the CI/CD process.
- Ensure major software development milestones align with the environment strategy.
- Communicate effectively across teams and assist in motivating the team.
- Be an active member of the Solution Engineering Community of Practice (CoP).
Requirements
- Experience delivering major programs of work in a complex, agile environment.
- Experience with enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Senior Cloud Engineering role in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud engineering principles underpinned by design and development experience with GCP, AWS, and/or VMware.
- Experience running multi-cloud environments and understanding multitenancy and security implications.
- Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure automation.
- Experience working with cloud deployment and orchestration technologies at scale.
- Strong knowledge of service discovery, deployment, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing fundamentals.
- Knowledge of containerization concepts and implementation considerations.
- Experience with complex data structures and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).
- Experience with Design Governance, taking responsibility for the end-to-end software design process.
- Curiosity and Compassion.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
