About the Role

Develop and maintain systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. Ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. The Senior Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing supply chain project quality activities for GEH Advanced Nuclear projects in Japan.

Responsibilities

Work to develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes.
Standardization of processes, tools and performance management system.
Perform project execution activities for Advanced Nuclear projects focusing on quality control of the procurement activities.
Work proactively with suppliers to define specific quality requirements, including development of inspection, verification, and qualification processes, in addition to tests and processes to assure products and services meet the GEH and customer quality requirements.
Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Work proactively with suppliers to resolve quality concerns applying technical and quality expertise to deliver project quality requirements.
Execute supplier quality surveillance program for New Reactor activities.
Disposition of supplier non-conforming products.
Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures.
Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective action processes.

Requirements

Must be willing to travel to supplier and customer sites as required. (Up to 50%)

Experience Level

Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support or working in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.

Education Level

Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering from an accredited college or university.
