About the Role

This role involves the procurement of electrical and semiconductor components for PlayStation hardware, including consoles and peripherals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and quality assurance, to strategize component selection from development through mass production. Responsibilities include identifying new suppliers, validating proposals, negotiating costs and delivery times, and contributing to DX initiatives for supply chain optimization.

Responsibilities

Component selection and procurement for PlayStation hardware (consoles and peripherals).
Collaborate with related departments (design, quality assurance) to strategize component selection from development to mass production.
Identify new suppliers and validate proposals.
Negotiate costs and delivery times.
Contribute to DX initiatives by building a data foundation for managing BOM costs and component supply chain information to respond to geopolitical risks and market changes.
Utilize systems and BI tools to visualize information supporting management decisions and promote operational efficiency.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in semiconductor or electrical component procurement, or sales.
Knowledge of semiconductor components for procurement and selection (deep technical knowledge not required).
Proficiency in quantity management using Microsoft Office.
Data management and visualization skills using Microsoft Office and BI Tools.
5+ years of procurement management or system development experience.
Experience working with overseas suppliers.
English communication skills sufficient for email correspondence and comfortable with spoken English when necessary.
Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
