About the Role

Join Westpac Institutional Bank's Structured Product Trading team and play a key role in one of the bank’s strategic growth areas. Manage and grow repo and securities financing portfolios, taking ownership of a trading book covering pricing, market-making, risk management, portfolio performance, and client engagement. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve product and service delivery, identify new opportunities, and build capability within a growing business.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow repo and securities financing portfolios.
Take ownership of a trading book, managing pricing, market-making, and risk management.
Oversee portfolio performance and client engagement.
Partner with Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Technology, and Operations teams.
Contribute ideas, identify new opportunities, and help build capability within a growing business.

Requirements

Trading experience.
Strong commercial judgement.
Confidence to take ownership of a portfolio.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
Experience managing, pricing, and trading repo, securities financing, or related fixed income products.
Strong understanding of risk management, P&L ownership, and portfolio management principles.
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to new business initiatives.
Proven ability to build effective relationships across trading, sales, risk, finance, technology, and operational teams.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
