Responsibilities
- Implement resource planning best practice strategies and processes.
- Optimize manpower resources across departments for each flight schedule.
- Manage a team of resource planning professionals.
- Ensure short-term planning manpower delivery, operational effectiveness, and station personnel budget.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational and cost performance.
- Analyze labor contract, service standard change, and flight schedule change scenarios.
- Establish shift and vacation bids to reduce service defects while controlling costs.
- Develop strong relationships with numerous work groups.
- Work closely with union representatives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline involving quantitative analysis.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data.
- Flexibility to work in an operation which may include weekends and holidays.
- High level of analytical ability.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint presentations).
- Enthusiasm and passion for the airline industry and working in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing, walking or carrying/moving materials up to 50 lbs., as required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
