About the Role

The Assistant Construction Management is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in managing the day to day operations and work package or packages for safety, quality, cost, schedule, closeout, and professional completion. The role involves coordinating with the project team for successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Be a leader in all aspects of Safety.
  • Serve as the secondary point of contact for the Client's representative, Project Manager, and Exyte representative for assigned work packages, safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Lead the Project Handover with the project execution plan and ensure all project documents/information are uploaded to DMCS.
  • Understand Exyte and client contracts, as well as Exyte-Subcontractor contracts, including scope, schedule, terms & conditions, liability, and penalties.
  • Review the responsibility matrix for the Project and acknowledge by signing the Roles & Responsibilities for Assistant Construction Manager.
  • Attend regular project meetings with the Client and Project team as dictated by the prime contract.
  • Maintain meeting minutes on DMCS for all meetings.
  • Lead and maintain the risk register, escalating risks with mitigation plans to the Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Project Director.
  • Provide accurate project status reports, risk registry, and schedule updates weekly/monthly.
  • Provide leadership to the CC team, reviewing the responsibility matrix and general roles for Construction Coordinators and Superintendents.
  • Assist in the development of the project execution plan and implement the Project Procedure Manual.
  • Assist in developing lessons learned sessions monthly with CCs and the project team.
  • Assist in the closeout of technical and commercial work package documents.
  • Review the project closeout checklist with Document Control, Warranty Manager, and Commercial teams.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to develop the Project Close-out.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Required.
  • 3+ years of large construction project experience.
  • Semiconductor experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment.
  • General knowledge of BIM, BIM360 and BIM Field.
  • Must be able to communicate technical material to other technical stakeholders and to a non-technical audience.
