About the Role

The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing a high-quality, engaging, and motivating experience, including safe, inclusive, and enjoyable instruction and leadership for participants in all Group Fitness classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality, safe, and enjoyable instruction that embodies the essence of the assigned programming and meets GoodLife’s standard of delivery.
  • Promotes and supports all Group Experience programming by encouraging continued participation in their classes and other classes on the schedule.
  • Shares guidance, recommendations, and information about all Club services to best serve the needs of the Members.
  • Follows all class operating procedures and encourages Members to book into their next class.
  • Sources and downloads class music for use when teaching.
  • Learns new release material and scripting if applicable.
  • Reviews workout plans and scripting prior to class for smooth and accurate delivery.
  • Stays up-to-date with any education or changes in programming as required.
  • Stays informed about information relative to their Club to promote in classes.
  • Arrives in time to ensure class promptly starts on time.
  • Provides feedback to the General Manager regarding schedules, studios, and classes, and seeks ways to ensure positive Member experiences and participation.

Requirements

  • Must have a relevant certification to be considered.
  • Must have current CPR-A and AED to be considered.
  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers.
  • Responds and relates well to Leaders.
  • Puts a lot of effort into their activities.
  • Is personally committed to and actively works towards continually improving themselves.
  • Always helpful to the rest of the team/other teams.

Salary/Compensations

  • $32.00 per one hour class (prorated for shorter or longer classes)
  • $56.00 per one hour class (prorated for shorter or longer classes)
