About the Role

The instructional coach is a critical lever in improving student achievement by building teacher capacity and understanding of instructional practices related to standards-based and data-driven instruction. Coaches promote reflection, provide guidance, focus on strengths, and ensure high-quality instruction through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and feedback in a non-evaluative capacity. The role requires a passion for urban education and leadership, with 50% of time spent on in-classroom coaching activities.
