About the Role
PJT Park Hill's Real Estate team is a leading capital advisor exclusively dedicated to the real estate industry globally. This role offers the opportunity to work within this dedicated global real estate team, focusing on a global business unit to deliver best-in-class fundraising and transaction execution for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the origination of new business, including commingled funds, joint ventures, investment clubs, and real estate operating platform, portfolio, and asset-level recapitalizations.
- Participate in prospective opportunity calls and meetings.
- Lead internal due diligence and underwriting for prospective mandates.
- Analyze and assess the feasibility of potential transactions, including pricing, assumptions on go-forward projections, and exits on platform, portfolio, and asset-driven recapitalization mandates.
- Coordinate the overall capital raising process and timeline for each mandate.
- Prepare materials and financial underwriting to support investor marketing.
- Advise GPs on optimal structuring to meet both client goals and maximize investor appeal.
- Respond to prospective investor diligence questions, develop tailored valuation analysis, and build bespoke scenarios.
- Integrate indicative offer terms into financial models to assess returns.
- Lead dialogue with GPs to stay apprised of investor feedback and interest.
- Support the dedicated real estate investor coverage team or other relevant PJT Partners departments as a subject matter expert.
- Support investor meetings.
- Organize global investor roadshows.
- Support the PJT Park Hill project management team across strategic initiatives, including GP market mapping, peer benchmarking, and internal performance analytics leveraging AI tools.
- Contribute to firmwide efforts such as corporate-level reporting, strategic planning, and cross-functional support.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in real estate within real estate private equity, real estate investment banking, real estate brokerage, or with an institutional investor or investment consultant.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in building and operating asset and vehicle valuation models.
- Personal and professional integrity.
- Client service mentality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to function independently and provide guidance to global project-specific teams of Analysts and Associates.
