About the Role
Eaton is seeking a Data Centre Strategic Accounts Manager for its Data Centre Segment regional Sales team to grow Eaton's revenue within large international Data Centre operating companies. The role involves identifying and securing profitable new business, collaborating with internal teams, and executing the regional and global strategy at the client account level.
Responsibilities
- Establish, own, and continuously develop a commercial account plan to meet targets for sales, orders, pipeline, product mix, and profitability.
- Build positive relationships with all account decision-makers and influencers.
- Understand and articulate the client buying process.
- Identify and secure revenue opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Capture client challenges and requirements, resolving them with Eaton's portfolio.
- Oversee and align commercial and engineering responses to tenders.
- Finalize commercial processes and secure purchase orders and framework agreements.
- Oversee effective handover to post-order project management, product services, and customer support teams.
- Maintain oversight of all commercial engagements for customer success and satisfaction.
- Understand clients' businesses, commercial conditions, structures, strategies, operations, and challenges, articulating them in terms of opportunity, growth, and risk for Eaton.
- Act as an advocate and communicator of Eaton's benefits within the organization for assigned accounts.
- Report account numbers, targets, and current business levels, including year-to-date and forecast order intake and revenue.
- Collaborate effectively with other sales and stakeholders at function, country, region, and global levels.
- Provide account-specific guidance and insights to internal stakeholders and functional departments.
- Build strong relationships between Eaton and the client organization across various departments (R&D, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, etc.).
- Request and support marketing campaigns (ABM) and activities to grow Eaton's client relations and business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Science or Engineering or equivalent Data Centre industry experience.
- Relevant experience in the Data Centre business is required.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and coordinate others.
- Requires entrepreneurial spirit, high degree of customer affinity, and a strong ability to influence others.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Data Centre design and operations.
- A technical and engineering presence is preferred.
- Able to relate well as a peer to Leaders of target customers.
- Knowledgeable on how to identify and implement new tools and processes.
- A well-rounded professional who knows when to support, lead, listen, and direct.
