About the Role
This role is in the R&D Packaging Engineering team of the Access Solutions division, focusing on packaging system design, realization, and supporting existing product improvements. The engineer will compile, analyze, and report data to establish performance standards for new or modified packaging, products, processes, and materials under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Fully participate in project teams to contribute technical work related to packaging and product design and development.
- Perform technical analysis of medical device packaging systems and materials for new and existing products to ensure designs meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Gather requirements from internal and external sources to accurately capture user needs.
- Investigate field-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Generate engineering documentation (e.g., DHF and DMR) in adherence to quality policies and systems.
- Lead packaging-specific initiatives to support new designs, materials, or process-related issues.
- Innovate and create new concepts and designs for products and submit invention disclosures.
- Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Demonstrate company values, work with integrity, and be a supportive team member.
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Experience working within a quality management system and quality system controls (e.g. Design inputs/outputs, Verification/validation, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills, to communicate with individuals at various levels
