About the Role

CMC Markets is seeking a skilled AML/CTF Officer to join their Barangaroo office. This standalone role offers the opportunity to work across stockbroking and OTC derivatives businesses within a globally reputable fintech company.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AUSTRAC business dealings.
  • Report regularly to CMC boards and senior management.
  • Ensure Australian CMC entities comply with AML/CTF obligations for both businesses.
  • Continuously monitor relevant legislation.
  • Perform AML/CTF controls testing.
  • Conduct daily review and clearance of onboarding and transaction monitoring alerts.
  • Log AML/CTF incidents or breaches.
  • Create, implement, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and systems for AML/CTF compliance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an AML/CTF Officer.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., business, law, economics).
  • Thorough understanding of Australian AML/CTF acts and rules.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing relationships with AUSTRAC.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia permanently.
