About the Role
Lead the planning and delivery of a diverse calendar of events at Ken Rosewall Arena and the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre, ensuring exceptional event experiences, venue readiness, strong commercial outcomes, and safe, compliant operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of events, functions and venue bookings across Ken Rosewall Arena and SOPTC.
- Oversee event operations, venue readiness and financial administration.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance, operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding events.
- Lead and develop the Events Coordinator and casual event staff, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing events and venue operations within a complex or multipurpose venue environment.
- Strong event planning, administration and financial management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident people leader with experience supervising staff, contractors and stakeholders to achieve successful event outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety, event safety and emergency management practices.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Willingness to work from the SOPTC office and be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with event requirements.
