About the Role
Lead HSQT across NSW operations, driving improvements to WHS and Quality Management Systems, conducting audits, managing workers compensation, and maintaining certifications.
Responsibilities
- Driving improvements to our WHS and Quality Management Systems
- Conducting site audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Developing SOPs, work instructions and practical safety documentation
- Managing workers compensation, injury management and return to work
- Maintaining and delivering the NSW training plan
- Identifying training and competency gaps across our workforce
- Developing and delivering safety, quality and operational training
- Maintaining ISO 9001, ACRS and SSA certifications
- Managing non-conformances, corrective actions and quality reporting
- Supporting product quality requirements and AS4671 compliance
- Contributing to national safety, quality and training initiatives
Requirements
- Safety/WHS experience within heavy manufacturing, steel, construction, logistics or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems
- Experience developing and delivering workplace training
- Confidence conducting investigations, audits and site inspections
- Exposure to quality management systems and ISO 9001
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to safety and training
- Experience with ACRS, AS4671 or reinforcing steel would be highly regarded but isn't essential
- Proof of legal work rights
- May be required to undertake relevant, role-appropriate pre-employment screening
