About the Role

The Women's Cancer Study Group (WSG) is seeking a finance professional to oversee financial operations, including planning, reporting, and process development. This role involves strategic partnership with management and leading the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for finance, controlling, and accounting of WSG
• Liquidity, financial, and budget planning, as well as meaningful reporting to management
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in cooperation with the tax advisor
• Commercial management of study and project accounting (sponsor/cooperation agreements, third-party and funding)
• Further development and digitalization of finance and controlling processes
• Leadership and further development of the commercial team
• Sparring partner for management in strategic and economic decisions

Requirements

• Completed degree in business administration, finance, or similar
• Several years of professional experience in finance, ideally in a leadership role
• Sound knowledge of accounting, controlling, and financial statement preparation (HGB)
• Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers
• Experience in the healthcare, research, or project-driven environment, as well as with third-party/funding, is an advantage
• Entrepreneurial thinking, hands-on mentality, discretion, and integrity
• Very good German and good English skills
