About the Role
Capgemini is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director - Simphony Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, integration, and enterprise deployment of Oracle Simphony solutions across large-scale, multi-unit restaurant and food service environments. This executive-level leadership role will serve as the strategic technology authority for Simphony platforms, driving solution architecture, enterprise integrations, digital transformation initiatives, and modernization efforts across restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority and strategic architect for Oracle Simphony solutions across global restaurant operations.
- Define and lead the overall Simphony architecture strategy, technical roadmap, integration framework, and modernization initiatives.
- Drive technical design and deployment of Simphony POS, Inventory Management, Menu Management, Loyalty, Digital Commerce, and Back-of-House (BOH) capabilities.
- Lead architecture decisions related to Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Retail, Data Platforms, Cloud Services, and enterprise integrations.
- Establish enterprise standards, governance models, architectural patterns, and best practices for Simphony implementations.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to align restaurant technology investments with long-term business objectives.
- Lead large-scale transformation programs, global rollouts, platform migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Architect scalable integrations between Simphony and enterprise applications, leveraging APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud-native technologies.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture reviews, solution design workshops, vendor engagements, and technology strategy sessions.
- Guide cross-functional teams through technical delivery, deployment planning, testing strategies, release management, and production readiness activities.
- Drive improvements in system performance, scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovation opportunities that enhance restaurant technology capabilities.
- Mentor architects, consultants, engineers, and technical leaders while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Support executive communications, technology governance reviews, investment planning, and strategic decision-making processes.
- Support business development, solutioning, and pre-sales activities for large-scale technology transformation programs.
- Engage with C-suite executives and business stakeholders as a trusted advisor on technology strategy, digital transformation, and operational modernization.
- Lead technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, architecture assessments, and strategic consulting engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- 8 + years of enterprise technology experience, including 10+ years leading Oracle MICROS Simphony architecture, implementation, and large-scale deployment initiatives within restaurant, hospitality, QSR, or food service organizations.
- Deep expertise across Simphony POS, Inventory Management, Menu Management, Loyalty, Digital Ordering, Kitchen Operations, and Back-of-House (BOH) technologies.
- Proven experience architecting and modernizing enterprise restaurant technology ecosystems supporting large multi-unit and global organizations.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle MICROS Simphony architecture, deployment models, integrations, and enterprise scalability.
- Extensive experience integrating Simphony with Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Retail, inventory and supply chain platforms, analytics solutions, digital commerce platforms, loyalty systems, payment technologies, and third-party restaurant applications.
- Strong experience designing API-first architectures and enterprise integrations utilizing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar middleware technologies.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, inventory management, recipe costing, customer engagement, menu lifecycle management, and operational reporting.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and hybrid enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated success leading global architecture teams, enterprise transformation programs, and large-scale technology modernization initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, drive technology strategy, define architecture standards, and align technology investments with business objectives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and vendor management experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, operational intelligence, and data governance initiatives.
- Oracle MICROS Simphony certifications preferred.
- Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle Retail experience strongly preferred.
- Pre-sales & GTM experience- Leading technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, architecture assessments, and strategic consulting engagements.
- Leading GTM strategies, account growth, executive stakeholder management, and complex deal pursuits.
