You will translate practice strategy into consistent execution across various operational functions, providing leadership in service delivery, resource strategy, team performance, quality, technology, and operational decision-making. This position combines executive leadership with a strong client-service and consultative orientation, focusing on evolving the operating model, developing multidisciplinary teams, scaling new solutions, and strengthening the client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an integrated Client Solutions strategy that supports DAG’s core practice and emerging legal solutions and enables sustainable growth.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear operating plans, decision rights, accountabilities, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build alignment and accountability across multidisciplinary teams and represent Client Solutions in significant practice and firm initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve an integrated Client Solutions operating model spanning intake, scoping, staffing, workflows, matter handoffs, escalation, communication, closing, and knowledge transfer.
  • Establish consistent delivery standards across Client Solutions while preserving flexibility for different clients, matters, technologies, risk profiles, and service offerings.
  • Maintain executive oversight of significant client and matter delivery issues, facilitating timely resolution of escalations and ensuring appropriate communication with lawyers, clients, and firm stakeholders.
  • Partner with DAG legal leadership and matter teams to align operational execution with legal strategy, client expectations, defensibility requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Capture lessons learned and successful approaches to drive continuous improvement across matters and teams.
  • Lead the Client Solutions people and organizational strategy, including structure, role clarity, workforce planning, succession planning, hiring, retention, training, career development, and performance management.
  • Lead and develop Client Solutions managers and functional leaders, establishing consistent management expectations and building leadership capacity across the organization.
  • Oversee capacity and staffing strategy, including demand forecasting, assignments, load balancing, cross-training, contingent staffing, and resource planning.
  • Monitor utilization, workload, productivity, skill coverage, and service demand and recommend changes to staffing, team structure, sourcing, or investment priorities.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture that values legal judgment, technical excellence, project discipline, client service, and innovation.
  • Establish and oversee service delivery standards, quality controls, documentation, playbooks, and training that support accurate, consistent, secure, and defensible client service.
  • Partner with DAG legal leadership and relevant firm functions on legal defensibility, information security, data handling, confidentiality, records management, vendor risk, business continuity, and client requirements.
  • Ensure operational issues, errors, near misses, and client concerns are appropriately identified, escalated, remediated, and incorporated into continuous improvement.
  • Promote disciplined project management, change control, documentation, and communication across Client Solutions.
  • Lead operational execution of technology, development, and innovation priorities, aligning investments and solutions with client needs, quality, risk, scalability, and commercial value.
  • Collaborate with DAG leaders, firm technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to evaluate, pilot, implement, and scale technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Move new technologies and workflows from concept or pilot to repeatable, supportable, and measurable production use with appropriate controls and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, consistency, client experience, and cost effectiveness while positioning Client Solutions as a strategic consulting partner to lawyers and clients.
  • Partner with practice leadership to identify and operationalize new service offerings, client solutions, cross-practice initiatives, and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with DAG leadership on financial planning, pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and business planning by providing delivery assumptions, staffing models, resource requirements, and operational insights.
  • Support matter budgets, alternative fee arrangements, portfolio delivery models, and pricing proposals by evaluating scope, workflow, staffing, technology, timing, risk, and expected effort.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, manage cost, increase scalability, and strengthen commercial results.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators across service quality, capacity, utilization, productivity, client satisfaction, risk, financial performance, employee development, and adoption of new technologies and workflows.
  • Provide concise reporting and recommendations to practice leadership on performance, material risks, resource needs, trends, and priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with DAG partners, lawyers, matter teams, clients, firm leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in service delivery.
  • Participate in significant client pitches, RFPs, client reviews, and solution-design discussions, clearly communicating DAG’s capabilities, operating model, quality controls, and value proposition.
  • Partner across Business Operations, Finance, Pricing, Business Development, Human Resources, Technology, Information Security, Procurement, Risk Management, and other firm functions to advance Client Solutions priorities.
