About the Role
Join our Strategy, Risk & Transactions – Advisory – Mergers & Acquisitions team to support clients throughout the entire M&A deal cycle, from strategy and due diligence to financing, technology, and successful transaction execution and integration. Our team assists clients with the strategic, financial, and legal aspects of buying, selling, or merging companies.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of meetings and workshops.
- Conduct independent analyses.
- Create presentations for top management.
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily with other Deloitte Service Lines.
- Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities related to new technologies, markets, or customer groups.
- Identify potential M&A targets and assess strategic fits with buyers.
- Advise clients on company acquisitions, developing integration strategies and identifying synergy potentials.
- Develop carve-out concepts for the sale and spin-off of company parts to strategic investors and private equity firms.
- Identify value creation levers and support operational implementation across all business functions during carve-outs.
- Assess the operational performance of a company during operational due diligence.
- Identify value enhancement potentials and analyze the strategy, market positioning, and supply chain of potential targets.
Requirements
- Student of business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, or a comparable field.
- Good business administration understanding and interest in strategic and operational issues (e.g., M&A, business models, process optimization / value creation).
- Structured, goal-oriented way of working and enthusiasm for challenging projects.
- Team spirit, high commitment, and independence.
- Willingness to travel.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
- Availability from April 2027 for a minimum of 3 months.
