About the Role
Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is seeking passionate individuals to join the Execution Contracts Management Function. This team supports a portfolio of complex, multi-billion dollar data center construction projects and is responsible for establishing a construction services supply chain to meet growing cloud infrastructure needs. The role involves leading procurement and contracts management for data center build projects across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, including Ireland, the UK, and South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement plans to meet project goals on schedule and budget.
- Implement negotiation strategies for specified scopes, incorporating cross-functional perspectives.
- Participate in supplier selection and performance management, ensuring alignment with Microsoft business goals.
- Lead or participate in contract negotiations to meet business goals, with a deep understanding of European contracting norms and Microsoft's requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance against contracted requirements, implement corrective actions, and manage contract administration, notices, changes, and claims.
- Examine organizational strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for business growth and cost reduction.
- Continuously seek ways to streamline, automate, and simplify processes through tools, data analytics, and IT collaboration.
- Demonstrate high integrity, ethical conduct, and a value-based focus on fairness and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or other construction-related field.
- Deep construction execution experience in Supply Chain and Contracts Management is an absolute requirement.
- Experience delivering large-scale mission-critical construction projects, including sourcing, managing, and administering contracts over USD $100M.
- Experience leading procurement planning, RFP bidding, analysis, and contract award on mission-critical construction projects.
- Previous experience coordinating commercial/contractual teams on major construction projects in Europe.
- Management and/or delivery experience on large-scale data center construction projects.
- Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or other construction-related field.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

- £ 100,400.00 - £ 200,500.00 per year (IC6 in UK)

- € 113,600.00 - € 213,700.00 per year (IC6 in Ireland)
