About the Role

Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely payment of workers’ benefits, managing the end-to-end process including calculations, ongoing payments, and claim portfolio maintenance. Provide leadership, mentorship, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the accurate and timely payment of workers’ benefits
  • Approve weekly benefit payments within delegation of authority
  • Monitor and maintain a portfolio of claims, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Identify, code and process complex payments within the claims system
  • Ensure employment and compensation data is up to date and accurate
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder enquiries related to worker entitlements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal guidelines
  • Mentor and support team members to drive performance and consistency
  • Collaborate to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
  • Maintain a strong customer-focused approach aligned with CMI values

Requirements

  • Strong experience in workers compensation, ideally within a claims environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing benefit payments
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Leadership or mentoring experience (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated behaviours aligned to company values and culture
