About the Role
Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely payment of workers’ benefits, managing the end-to-end process including calculations, ongoing payments, and claim portfolio maintenance. Provide leadership, mentorship, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accurate and timely payment of workers’ benefits
- Approve weekly benefit payments within delegation of authority
- Monitor and maintain a portfolio of claims, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Identify, code and process complex payments within the claims system
- Ensure employment and compensation data is up to date and accurate
- Manage internal and external stakeholder enquiries related to worker entitlements
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal guidelines
- Mentor and support team members to drive performance and consistency
- Collaborate to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Maintain a strong customer-focused approach aligned with CMI values
Requirements
- Strong experience in workers compensation, ideally within a claims environment
- Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing benefit payments
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Leadership or mentoring experience (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated behaviours aligned to company values and culture
