Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance on company aircraft, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee quality control for aircraft presentation upon completion of maintenance and prior to release.
- Ensure compliance with Jetstar’s Safety Management System, training, and regulatory requirements.
- Work flexibly at other ports, including international locations.
- Build strong working relationships with contractors and external service providers.
Requirements
- Completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) report in progress, or equivalent trade qualification preferably under CASA/EASA/CAANZ/UKCAA regulations in Mechanical, Avionics, or Structures.
- Experience and/or type ratings with A320, A321, and/or B787 aircraft (desirable).
- At least 5 years post-apprenticeship Maintenance experience.
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to effectively manage self and others.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proven commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle competing demands under pressure.
- Holds a valid driving license and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers License.
- Willing and able to hold a Qantas Group-issued ASIC including full international criminal clearance.
- Willing and able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical test prior to commencement.
- Must be a qualified aircraft engineer/technician with a trade aircraft technician qualification.
- Priority given to candidates with full, unrestricted work rights in Australia or New Zealand.

- All Jetstar Engineers in Australia are paid under the Jetstar Airways Engineering & Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2023
