About the Role
Join the Commercial Pricing Platforms team to deliver business modelling and pricing insights across SME, NFM and Strata products. You will shape recommendations that align portfolio strategy, financial targets and customer outcomes. Working across Pricing, Portfolio, Actuarial and Technology, you will translate complex analysis into clear proposals and support timely price changes. You will also guide analysts, improve modelling capability and strengthen pricing infrastructure through data, automation and AI.
Responsibilities
- Shape commercial pricing across SME, NFM and Strata portfolios
- Turn advanced modelling into clear recommendations and customer value
- Grow technical capability through automation, AI and team development
- Develop pricing recommendations and business cases that align brand strategy, portfolio performance and budget requirements
- Lead modelling for platform products, projects and business as usual pricing activities
- Analyse portfolio data and reports to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Translate business pricing requirements into clear specifications for Technology teams
- Maintain pricing infrastructure and support the development of modelling ready datasets
- Guide analysts on modelling methods, technical implementation and professional development
Requirements
- Bring at least five years of relevant experience, preferably within general insurance
- Apply strong knowledge of insurance products, pricing drivers and business modelling techniques
- Use GLMs, GBMs and other machine learning methods to solve commercial pricing problems
- Work confidently with SAS, Excel, R and related programming tools
- Translate technical findings into clear business outcomes for varied stakeholders
- Hold a relevant degree in Business, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
