About the Role
This is the first hire for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and one of the first five hires overall. The role is responsible for building the foundations of in-house field service capabilities and will play a fundamental role in the success of the CoE as it expands. The ideal candidate will combine experience leading installations on <100kWh batteries with attention to detail, work ethic, and leadership skills. The role involves completing and signing off on jobs, optimizing installation and O&M operations, and spending time both on the road and in the office. This role has a mission with enormous measurable impact on Australia's national decarbonisation trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the work on installations (15-20 residential sites per month) in the initial phase.
- Participate in Site Inspections with the operations team.
- Resolve remedial electrical works issues.
- Collaborate with 3rd-party partners to refine processes and software tools.
- Contribute to defining Cable’s installation standards beyond Australian Standards.
- Engage with Hardware OEMs and priority technical support.
- Monitor network performance and quality control as the business scales.
- Train partners in Cable’s design principles.
- Manage O&M for the battery fleet.
- Nurture on-the-ground partner relationships.
- Provide input into software design and development to ensure value creation.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, demonstrating professionalism.
- Be firm with partners when necessary, while showing an authentic interest in their success.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience signing off on high-quality jobs.
- Full NSW Electrical Licence.
- SAA accredited Install.
- SafeworkNSW Induction (White Card).
- Valid driver’s licence with <7 demerit points accumulated over the past 3 years.
