  • Compare MGA, broker, reinsurer, and internal system reporting and investigate differences through resolution.
  • Support journal entries, accruals, close schedules, and accounting adjustments related to assigned programs and reinsurance arrangements.
  • Prepare and review program and reinsurance settlement statements and supporting calculations.
  • Coordinate amounts due to and from MGAs, brokers, reinsurers, and other counterparties and support timely cash allocation and settlement.
  • Monitor aged or disputed balances and escalate material collection, settlement, or reconciliation issues for resolution.
  • Maintain effective controls over bordereaux preparation, data validation, reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting outputs.
  • Maintain organized procedures, reporting calendars, workpapers, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate program onboarding, bordereaux creation, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable US or International statutory or regulatory obligations.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in insurance program operations, program accounting, reinsurance operations, premium accounting, or a related insurance function.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing premium, claims, commission, and/or reinsurance bordereaux, including assumed and ceded reinsurance, quota share and excess of loss arrangements, reconciliations, and settlements.
  • Experience with a fronting carrier, specialty insurer, MGA, program administrator, delegated authority, or reinsurance organization.
  • Experience with policy administration, claims, reinsurance administration, ERP, workflow, or financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with program onboarding, cash settlements, premium receivables, reinsurance recoverables, or collateral reporting.
  • Exposure to Power Query, Power BI, SQL, or other data automation and reporting tools.
