About the Role
SMLX Freight is seeking a reliable, professional, and experienced Removals & Delivery Driver to join our growing team, supporting removals and transport operations across London and surrounding areas. We offer frequent work and the opportunity to become a regular part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Driving company-provided or approved vehicles for removals and delivery jobs
- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes, appliances and other household or commercial items
- Safely securing goods for transport
- Checking items against job information before departure
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout the job
- Reporting any damage, delays or issues immediately
- Keeping vehicles and equipment clean and presentable
- Working alongside other SMLX team members on larger jobs
Requirements
- Previous professional removals and/or delivery experience is essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Good driving record
- Confident and experienced driving commercial vans, including Luton-style vehicles
- Experience safely loading, securing and handling furniture and appliances
- Physically capable of carrying out manual handling and lifting duties
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good customer service and communication skills
