About the Role
This role is part of our Dairy Food business, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. We believe there’s power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist production with kettle preparation and cooking.
- Complete checklists and reports.
- Provide filling machines with the necessary amount of product.
- Observe all safety rules.
- Ensure quality and efficiencies.
- Ensure operational compliance to all food safety policies and procedures.
- Make correct Kettle pipe connections after Sanitation is complete.
- Wash Kettles when necessary during change over or at the end of the day.
- Assemble product pump after sanitation is complete.
- Fill out temperature Chart Recorder.
- Verify and approve weighted ingredients from the Batch Maker prior to Kettle Additions.
- Process products in accordance with company specified procedure.
- Monitor cooking pressure, temperature, and duration.
- Pull samples and bring to QC station for quality assurance checks.
- Immediately notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Flip trays in chillers when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Collaborate and follow instructions of Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Respectful demeanor.
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
- Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Work in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods.
- Work in areas where dust and chemicals may be present.
