About the Role

This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as a Casual Chef in our Food Services Department. You will bring your passion to the role where you will work with a diverse and high-performing team. You will support our executive Chef and team to ensure our Patients and staff receive the highest quality meals.

Responsibilities

  • Support our executive Chef and team to ensure our Patients and staff receive the highest quality meals.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the catering areas.
  • Maintenance and compliance of HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain variety and presentation standards within the 4 Star requirements set by Management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Passion and dedication with a focus on serving the highest quality dishes.
  • A minimum 2 years' experience in the health or catering industry as a qualified chef would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster.
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an Australia visa that grants the work rights necessary for the role.
