About the Role

Channel's Finance team aims to build the company's direction and stability by connecting business and finance. We are seeking a senior Finance member to complete the transition from a Japanese branch to a newly established corporation and independently manage the financial operations of the Japanese entity. This role involves leading all aspects of accounting, tax, and treasury operations in Japan, while collaborating closely with the Finance team at our Korean headquarters to build a global Finance structure together.

Responsibilities

Execute and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for the Japanese entity.
Handle Japanese tax filings, including corporate, consumption, and withholding taxes, and liaise with external experts like tax accountants and CPAs.
Manage treasury operations and monitor cash flow.
Design and implement financial operational structures and business processes for the Japanese entity.
Proactively identify and execute solutions for new business and finance-related challenges.
Prepare consolidated financial packages for headquarters and respond to inquiries.

Requirements

Over 8 years of experience in accounting, tax, and treasury operations within a Japanese company.
Practical experience in Japanese tax filings, including corporate, consumption, and withholding taxes.
Experience with standalone closing based on J-GAAP.
Ability to proactively communicate with headquarters and diverse stakeholders.
Capability to independently establish and execute necessary standards and processes in a startup-like environment.
