About the Role

As a Senior Financial Accountant at AP+, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance functions to ensure the accurate recording and timely reporting of financial information in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and Company policies. This role also supports Treasury, Tax and compliance obligations, with a core focus on year-end and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide supporting documentation and analysis for the year-end external audit.
• Assist in the preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
• Prepare, review and post month-end journals as required.
• Support timely and accurate month-end close processes.
• Prepare and review high-quality balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and AP+ policies.
• Apply accounting standards to operational matters.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and provide advice on areas such as leasing and commercial agreements.
• Support the management of AP+'s tax obligations as required.
• Assist in ensuring AP+ meets its compliance obligations and compulsory government reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Technically strong and collaborative finance professional.
• Thrives in a dynamic payments environment.
• Minimum 5 years' directly relevant finance experience within a payment's organisation.
• External audit experience.
• Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and work collaboratively to deliver solutions.
• Proactive mindset during change, encouraging flexibility and helping others see opportunities.
• Collaborative approach, working effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality outputs on time.
