About the Role
PwC’s Accounting Services (AS) team provides corporate accounting services to national and multinational corporations, focusing on compliance and operational insights. As part of the largest global accounting firm, AS offers a challenging and exciting career path with a varied client base and opportunities for continuous technical training and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory financial statements (SFS).
- Bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and work on ad hoc accounting projects.
- Carry out client secondments at client sites in line with business needs.
- Apply accounting compliance knowledge to major proposals to help manage and grow the AS accounting compliance portfolio worldwide.
- Contribute to the development of the accounting advisory service offering with regards to process improvement, technology, risk and controls.
- Take responsibility for the management of junior accounting staff.
Requirements
- Must possess an ACA/ATT/CTA qualification (or international equivalent).
- Strong accounting skills and technical knowledge on financial reporting matters.
- Very good working knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS and some awareness of US GAAP.
- IT literate, ideally with some experience of accounting packages and very good excel spreadsheet skills.
- Highly professional attitude to providing a quality service working on challenging assignments in a deadline driven environment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work in a team environment.
