About the Role
Ravelin is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Manager experienced in selling technology solutions to senior executives. This role involves collaborating with sales teams to address technical challenges throughout the sales cycle and ensuring a seamless transition for new clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients on Ravelin's technical capabilities, identifying optimal implementation and deployment strategies.
- Conduct discovery sessions and tailored demonstrations to understand technical requirements.
- Manage Proof of Concepts as needed.
- Liaise with delivery teams to ensure accurate understanding of prospect client platforms.
- Provide technical consultation during the sales process and assist in creating Ravelin implementation plans.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the prospect's existing fraud prevention, Account Take Over, and similar systems.
- Develop relationships within the prospective client's organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Ravelin's solutions and use cases.
- Collaborate with internal teams, particularly Product and Integration.
- Work with internal teams to deliver technical specifications for prospect client's bespoke requirements.
- Maintain and enhance the knowledge base and RFP responses.
- Act as a resource and promote knowledge sharing and excellence globally.
Requirements
- Experience in similar pre-sales technical, engineering, or consulting roles.
- Experience in card payments and authentication.
- Technical awareness of EMVco standards, including flows, data requirements, and protocol versions.
- Demonstrate a strong balance of commercial and technical acumen to support revenue generation.
- Technical awareness in software sales discussions, including operating systems (Linux), cloud computing (Azure, AWS), data types (CSV, XML, JSON), and database technologies & storage.
- Strong ability to engage and manage expectations with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong academic background, preferably in Technology or a scientific field.
- A thirst to learn.
- Initiate improvements in knowledge and sharing for collective benefit.
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to understand the business value of the Ravelin proposition and articulate it to executive levels.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention is a plus.
- Must meet pre-employment checks including unspent criminal convictions, employment verification, and right to work.
