About the Role
Friends of the Children Austin is seeking a Program Associate to manage, coordinate, and improve administrative and operational processes for the programming and operations team. This role requires independent judgment, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to support youth in the community.
Responsibilities
- Manage and exercise judgment over the end-to-end process for family emergency support requests.
- Oversee Program staff documents, publications, and uniform requests.
- Provide comprehensive Program data support, including managing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data.
- Maintain youth enrollment paperwork, enter and update information in STATS and PIERS, and manage school access documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
- Manage the entire process of program meetings, including needs assessment, material preparation, scheduling, setup, breakdown, and follow-up.
- Arrange new Friend onboarding supplies and administrative preparation.
- Coordinate Program team and school selection team meetings.
- Support and maintain relationships with area school districts and partner organizations regarding data access, coordination, and compliance.
- Manage and track the receipt and distribution of gift card donations.
- Plan and execute family engagement events.
- Support on and offsite programming events, camps, and special activities.
- Maintain Friends media folders and aliases.
- Handle the logistics of program-specific supplies and gift drives.
- Work with the Development team to manage donations for youth.
- Work with the Literacy Project Manager to maintain the Friends Austin library system.
- Develop seasonal crafts and activities for youth.
- Replenish clubhouse snacks and supplies.
- Evaluate administrative and operational workflows of the Program team and recommend process improvements.
- Review and prepare documentation supporting grant reporting, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Salary/Compensations
- $50,000 - $61,060
