About the Role
GFT is seeking a Revit Designer/Modeler to join our Water team, contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. This role offers a significant opportunity to leverage your design background to support project teams across North America with municipal and industrial water and wastewater clients.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigned projects, meeting deadlines, budgets, and prioritizing assignments while maintaining quality standards and accuracy.
- Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.
- Prepare three-dimensional models and renderings using Revit.
- Prepare and assemble design documents.
- Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings.
- Complete Revit Project Setup.
- Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately present and coordinate designs.
- Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.
- Provide layouts for project structures including Treatment Plants, lift stations and pump stations from information provided by senior designers and Project Engineers.
- Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work products.
- Generate Revit content to add to our growing library of Revit families.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 10-15 years of experience with an emphasis in design and development of geotechnical deliverables including investigations, reports, drawings and specifications
- Master’s Degree with a Geotechnical focus is strongly preferred
- Field experience with construction observation for bridge projects, highway projects, deep foundations, and sinkhole and landslide remediation projects
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
