About the Role

The Program Manager manages and oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle for a manufacturing program, ensuring that production, quality, safety, and cost targets are met. This role focuses on achieving high levels of forecast accuracy, managing manufacturing costs, and project timelines aligned with the overall manufacturing capacity for a customer program. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage resources with cross-functional teams, optimize operational processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers, including solving customer problems, building relationships, and managing escalations.
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects with cross-functional teams from initiation to completion in a fast-moving environment.
  • Participate in project planning sessions and contribute to timelines and deliverables.
  • Participate in cross-departmental teams to deliver projects or initiatives.
  • Facilitate meetings between different teams to ensure alignment.
  • Effectively present project updates to stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Prepare reports or presentations summarizing project progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in lean initiatives.
  • Manage P&L, financial performance, and manufacturing costs committed to the forecast.
  • Monitor financial performance, report on Manufacturing cost FCST variances, and drive actions for improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (CFT), coordinating efforts across different departments.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within Manufacturing cost FCST.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Act as customers' Program/Site representative, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Support customer visits.
  • Provide regular updates to inform customers of project status, challenges, and successes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, OTD, quality, Accounts Receivable (AR), and financial performance.
  • Identify potential risks to the project and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure all services and activities performed by the site follow the contract and agreements.
  • Manage contractual obligations and escalate non-contractual situations to GAMs.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and resources effectively.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Product Change Notifications (PCNs) in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Ensure changes to scope are clear and address any impact from change requests.
  • Acknowledge input from demand forecasts and ensure alignment with production capacities.
  • Support the development of accurate forecast and demand plans.
  • Track variance management, identify possible claims and recoveries, and address them with the commercial team.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production at Site level.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide regular updates and comprehensive documentation of program activities.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement customer ESG and Sustainability requirements as agreed and vetted by Commercial Teams.

Requirements

  • Organize, plan, and direct program schedules & budgets.
  • Responsible for tracking applicable metrics and driving actions to achieve targeted business results.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise with contract negotiations.
  • Oversee all interdepartmental activities ensuring delivery of required business metrics.
  • Review program proposals to resolve time frame, funding requirements, procedures needed to accomplish program objectives, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources for each phase of a program.
  • Manage the product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary communication point for customers to voice escalations when issues arise.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction reviews and associated corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track that all project/program deliverables are met.
