About the Role

Riverty is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team in Berlin. The role involves building the next generation of fintech solutions, ensuring absolute precision in financial transactions. You will focus on integrating financial integrity directly into APIs, accounting workflows, reconciliation pipelines, and test evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for testing, including tools, frameworks, and automated tests.
  • Enhance application quality by creating tests, conducting testing, and implementing test automation routines.
  • Plan testing automation for existing and upcoming projects (Unit Tests / Integration Tests including E2E / Performance Tests).
  • Support the team with quality tests.
  • Integrate automated tests into Azure Pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the team on upcoming projects, focusing on test and quality.
  • Mentor team members with new testing technologies.
  • Proactively collaborate with the development team to ensure code testability and comprehensive test coverage.
  • Work closely with the product owner, providing an overview of project quality status and plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as SDET / QA Engineer / Quality Engineer with automated tests in production CI.
  • Solid knowledge of testing types and methods, with the judgment to choose appropriate test levels (unit, integration, functional, E2E).
  • Strong experience testing complex APIs and integrations (auth, persistence, downstream HTTP, messaging).
  • Comfort reading YAML/JSON configurations and tracing behavior across services.
  • Proven delivery of automated suites and shared test libraries or pipeline templates.
  • Experience with CI/CD, source control, and dependency management in a DevOps-style team.
  • BDD/Gherkin experience is useful.
  • Comfort with mixed unit/integration/functional/E2E testing across repositories.
  • Curiosity about AI-assisted testing is a plus; willingness to review, correct, and constrain generated tests is required.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to communicate with both business and engineering stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English.
