About the Role
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a meaningful role in financial reporting, balance sheet governance, internal controls, and audit readiness. The Senior Accountant will own key areas of the monthly close process, prepare and analyze complex reconciliations, support external audits, contribute to acquisition accounting, get exposure to strategic partnerships and drive continuous process improvements. This position offers exposure to leadership, technical accounting matters, and strategic initiatives, providing a clear path for growth into future accounting leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Support accounting analyses for complex non-routine transactions, including acquisition accounting, strategic partnerships (joint ventures), lease accounting, debt modifications, intercompany legal entity transactions, and other U.S. GAAP matters.
- Prepare subsidiary, lender, contractual, and other ad hoc financial reporting packages as needed.
- Partner with accounting leadership in ERP, reporting, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and other business teams to support key initiatives and improve end-to-end financial processes.
- Own assigned aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Prepare and review complex account analyses and maintain complete, audit-ready supporting schedules.
- Support annual financial statement preparation, footnote disclosures, and audit documentation.
- Research, resolve, and document reconciling items and accounting discrepancies.
- Support and develop a scalable COSO-aligned internal control environment through documentation, monitoring, and process improvement that strengthen financial reporting quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3+ years of progressive corporate accounting or public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Big 4 / regional firm background is a major plus
- Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning, or similar ERP and reporting systems.
- Exposure to mergers/acquisitions and joint ventures/equity accounting.

- $95,000 - $120,000 per year
