About the Role

The Detail Team Leader is responsible for cleaning and refurbishing vehicles, and in the absence of the Manager, opening and closing repair orders, inspecting completed details for quality, maintaining the delivery board, delegating work, ensuring shop productivity, and verifying the shop is clean, supplies are refilled, and the department is secure at close of business. The Detail Team Leader must maintain clear communication with the Manager and assist in mentoring new hires.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exterior using cleaning solutions, water, cloths, and brushes
Vacuum interior of vehicles
Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
Apply revitalizing and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces
Treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components
Take pictures of completed used vehicles and upload them to the website
Flag and close repair orders

Requirements

Previous/current experience as a detailer, minimum 1 year
Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand and power tools safely
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written
Ability to operate smartphone, tablet, and/or PC
Valid in-state driver's license
